Job Description

To prepare accurate cost estimates for ship repair, conversion, and newbuilding projects by analyzing specifications, drawings, and work scopes. The Estimator ensures competitive and profitable pricing while maintaining technical accuracy and compliance with client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Study client tenders, specifications, and drawings to determine work scope. Prepare detailed

man-hour and material cost estimates

for hull, machinery, piping, and electrical works. Coordinate with

production, planning, and procurement teams

for technical inputs and pricing. Review

previous job data

to benchmark cost and time requirements. Prepare and submit

technical-commercial proposals

within deadlines. Assist the commercial team during

bid clarification and negotiation meetings

. Maintain estimation records and update the cost database regularly. Support project handover meetings and provide input to the project execution team.

Experience

3-5 years
