Carry out troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of shipboard electrical systems including:
Power generation and distribution systems
Switchboards, motors, transformers, and cabling
Lighting, alarm, and emergency power systems
Perform insulation resistance tests, continuity checks, and functional testing.
Attend vessels during dry dock and afloat repairs.
Automation & Control Systems
Diagnose and repair automation and control systems such as:
PLC-based systems
Vessel automation, alarm, and monitoring systems
Propulsion, ballast, cargo, and auxiliary engine control systems and Alarm system
Support testing, calibration, and commissioning of automation equipment.
Project & Site Coordination
Coordinate electrical and automation repair works with:
Shipyard production teams
Owners' representatives
Classification society surveyors
Prepare work plans, material lists, and method statements.
Monitor work progress to ensure timely completion within project schedules.
Documentation & Compliance
Prepare technical reports, test records, and commissioning documents.
Ensure all works comply with:
Classification society requirements
Flag state regulations
Company safety and quality procedures
Support audits, inspections, and final handover documentation.
Safety & Quality
Ensure compliance with shipyard and vessel safety procedures.
Conduct risk assessments and toolbox meetings as required.
Maintain high standards of workmanship and quality control.
