Job Description

Role Overview



The Mushroom Farm Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day farming operations, including bag preparation, inoculation, incubation, cropping, harvesting, and packing. The role involves supervising staff, maintaining hygiene standards, monitoring environmental conditions, and ensuring production and quality targets are consistently achieved.

Key ResponsibilitiesFarm Operations



Supervise substrate preparation, sterilization, inoculation, incubation, and cropping cycles. Monitor and maintain temperature, humidity, ventilation, and hygiene across all farm units. Ensure timely harvesting, grading, and packing of mushrooms. Minimize contamination and wastage through proper management and adherence to SOPs.

Staff Supervision



Assign and monitor daily tasks for production, harvesting, and packing teams. Train workers in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), hygiene, and safety practices. Maintain discipline, productivity, and effective time management among the workforce.

Production & Reporting



Maintain accurate records of daily bag production, spawn usage, and mushroom yield. Monitor production quality and implement corrective measures where required. Report production performance, staff attendance, and operational challenges to management.

Coordination & Logistics



Coordinate with the logistics and packing team to ensure timely dispatches. Manage raw material inventory including substrate, spawn, packing materials, and chemicals. Assist management in planning production schedules based on market demand.

Qualifications & Skills



Minimum Education:

Plus Two / Diploma

Age Limit:

30-45 years

Experience:

Minimum 3 years as a Supervisor in a farm or similar setup preferred.

Language:

Proficiency in Hindi (mandatory); knowledge of other local languages is an advantage.

License:

Valid Two-Wheeler or LMV Driving License with good driving skills (mandatory). Strong leadership, problem-solving, and record-keeping skills. Physically fit to work in farm conditions (humid environment, long standing hours).

Work Environment



Indoor farming unit with controlled humidity and temperature. Supervision required across production, harvesting, and packaging areas. Shift-based work depending on production schedules:

Shift 1:

5:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Shift 2:

12:00 PM - 7:00 PM

Compensation & Benefits



Salary:

?15,000 - ?18,000 per month (based on experience) Uniform and safety gear provided. Career growth opportunities to senior farm management roles.
