Job Purpose:

The Shift Supervisor - Electro-Mechanical is responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of electro-mechanical systems in the water pumping station during assigned shifts. This includes monitoring equipment performance, coordinating maintenance activities, supervising technicians, and ensuring smooth and safe operations in accordance with standard operating procedures and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and lead a team of Electrician/ technicians and fitters during the assigned shift. Monitor the performance of mechanical systems (pumps, valves, compressors, piping, filters, etc.) and ensure timely troubleshooting and repair. Ensure compliance with preventive maintenance schedules and initiate corrective maintenance as required. Coordinate with operations, electrical, and instrumentation teams for seamless plant performance. Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out safely and comply with the company's safety standards and procedures. Maintain shift logs, generate daily reports, and update the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System). Ensure proper handover to the next shift, with clear communication of ongoing issues and priorities. Respond to breakdowns or emergency repairs and ensure timely resolution to minimize downtime. Participate in root cause analysis and reliability improvement initiatives. Train and mentor junior technicians and enforce adherence to maintenance best practices. Experience with rotating equipment, piping systems, and mechanical seals.

Strong safety awareness and understanding of permit-to-work systems. Good communication skills (written and verbal). Ability to work under pressure and in shift-based environments. Strong understanding of pumps, motors, gearboxes, electrical control systems, and automation. Working knowledge of SCADA systems, PLCs, and instrumentation is preferred. Familiar with HSE regulations and practices in utilities or industrial environments. Leadership and team coordination skills. Ability to work in a rotating shift schedule.

Work Conditions:

Shift-based work, including nights, weekends, and public holidays as needed. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory

Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Ability to read technical drawings and manuals. Excellent communication and reporting abilities. Basic computer literacy (MS Office, CMMS).

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
