Akuntha is inviting applications from skilled and experienced professionals Shift Operations Engineer (Substation Operation & Maintenance) for the

Operation and Maintenance (O&M)

of

132/33kV substations

in Madhya Pradesh. The role involves shift-based operations, routine inspections, coordination with grid control centers, and ensuring uninterrupted power supply through safe and reliable substation management.

Key Responsibilities

Operate, monitor, and maintain

132/33kV AIS/GIS substations

and associated electrical systems. Conduct routine checks, testing, and recording of operational parameters. Coordinate with

SLDC/NRLDC

for code applications, approvals, and planned shutdowns. Assist

WUPPTCL In-charge

in all operational, technical, and administrative activities. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance in line with safety and O&M protocols. Maintain accurate shift logs, fault reports, and operational documentation. Respond swiftly to system faults or abnormalities to ensure continuous operation.

Eligibility Criteria

Qualification:

ITI / Diploma in Electrical Engineering

Experience:

Minimum

3 years

in substation operation and maintenance

Skill Level:

Highly Skilled Electrician

Skills & Competencies

Sound knowledge of

AIS/GIS substation equipment

and

EHT systems

Excellent coordination and communication skills with control centers Understanding of electrical safety, isolation, and tagging procedures Ability to work in

rotational shifts

and field environments Basic computer knowledge for monitoring, reporting, and documentation
