The Shift Manager is responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of the cafe during assigned shifts. This role requires leadership, customer service excellence, team management, and maintaining Coffee Culture's brand standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee cafe operations during the shift, ensuring smooth workflow and service quality.
Lead, supervise, and motivate team members (baristas, service staff, and kitchen staff).
Ensure adherence to hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards across the cafe.
Manage cash handling, billing, and daily shift reconciliations.
Handle customer queries, complaints, and ensure excellent guest experience.
Monitor inventory levels during the shift and coordinate with the Store Manager for requirements.
Train new staff on Coffee Culture Reserve service standards, SOPs, and product knowledge.
Assist in implementing promotional activities and upselling strategies.
Ensure staff grooming, punctuality, and discipline are maintained.
Prepare end-of-shift reports and handover to the next shift/management.
Requirements:
Graduate in Hospitality / Business Management preferred.
2-4 years of experience in cafe/restaurant/hospitality operations.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage teams and deliver exceptional customer service.
Flexible to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays.
