F. Location: BKBPL : - Ethanol Division, Mor, Mokama, Patna, Bihar

G. Reporting To :- Production Manager / Plant Head

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced

Shift In-Charge - Process

to oversee and manage the ethanol production process during assigned shifts at our 100 KLPD grain-based ethanol plant. The role ensures smooth plant operations, adherence to production targets, process optimization, safety, quality control, and team supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and control all process operations during the assigned shift, including fermentation, distillation, evaporation, and related utilities.

Monitor process parameters and ensure adherence to production targets, yields, and quality standards.

Coordinate with utility, maintenance, and quality control teams to ensure smooth shift operations.

Identify and troubleshoot process issues or bottlenecks; take corrective actions promptly.

Maintain accurate shift logs, process data, and production records.

Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and environmental regulations.

Provide leadership and guidance to the shift team, including operators, technicians, and helpers.

Conduct shift handover and report critical issues to the incoming shift and plant management.

Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency, reduce losses, and improve yields.

Ensure proper housekeeping and maintain discipline within the shift team.

Key Requirements:

Education:

D.I.A.F.T. from NSI or VSI. Diploma or B.Tech /B.E. in Chemical Engineering or relevant discipline.

Experience:

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in ethanol plant operations, preferably in a large-capacity (50-100 KLPD) facility.

Technical Skills:

Strong understanding of ethanol production processes (fermentation, distillation, evaporation). Familiarity with process control systems, DCS/PLC. Knowledge of safety standards (OSHA, HAZOP, etc.) and environmental compliance.

Soft Skills:

Leadership and team management. Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities. Effective communication and reporting skills. Adaptability to shift work, including nights and weekends.

Shift Details:

Rotational shifts (Morning, General, Afternoon, Night). 8 hour shift patterns, depending on plant schedule.

Compensation:

As per industry standards; negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
