Job Title:

Shift Incharge Nurse (5-6 Years Experience)

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Shift Incharge Nurse to lead nursing operations during assigned shifts. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 6 years of clinical nursing experience with strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. This role involves supervising nursing staff, ensuring high-quality patient care, and managing shift-related administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate the activities of nursing staff during the assigned shift. Ensure proper staff allocation based on patient acuity and unit needs. Oversee patient care to ensure safety, quality, and adherence to clinical standards. Act as the point of contact for doctors, patients, families, and other departments during the shift. Manage emergencies and respond to patient or staff issues promptly and efficiently. Monitor and ensure proper documentation and reporting (e.g., handover reports, incident reports). Conduct shift handovers and ensure continuity of care between shifts. Support the onboarding and mentoring of new or junior nursing staff. Ensure adherence to infection control protocols, hospital policies, and safety regulations. Communicate any major issues to nursing supervisors or hospital administration as needed.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) with relevant experience.

Licensure:

Valid Registered Nurse license (as per state/national regulations).

Experience:

5 to 6 years of clinical nursing experience, including at least 1-2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.

Certifications:

Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (preferred)

Skills & Competencies:

Strong leadership and decision-making abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Effective time management and multitasking. In-depth understanding of nursing standards, protocols, and patient care procedures. Ability to handle high-pressure situations and resolve conflicts effectively. Proficient in electronic health records and nursing documentation.

Working Conditions:

Hospital or clinical environment Rotational shifts (day/night), including weekends and holidays Requires standing for long hours and handling medical emergencies

Pay: ?30,000.00 - ?35,000.00 per month
