Job Description

The manages all electrical operations and maintenance during a shift, leading a team of technicians to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient functioning of electrical systems (HT/LT, motors, control panels) for the coal washing process, handling breakdowns, conducting preventive maintenance, managing work permits, and reporting on energy use and operational status.
Key Responsibilities:

• Operational Oversight: Monitor electrical equipment (motors, conveyors, PLCs, control systems), ensuring consistent power supply and process flow.
• Team Leadership: Supervise, direct, and coordinate electrical technicians and operators, assigning duties and providing guidance.

: Respond to electrical faults, perform breakdown and preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and conduct root cause analysis. * Safety & Compliance: Implement safety protocols, conduct safety meetings, manage High Tension (HT) and Low Tension (LT) switching, and issue work permits.

• Reporting & Documentation: Maintain detailed shift logs, prepare reports, track energy consumption, and manage spare parts inventory.
• Shift Handover: Effectively communicate critical information to the next shift.
• Coordination: Liaise with other departments (mechanical, operations) for seamless plant function.

Key Requirements:

• Experience: Proven experience in electrical maintenance within heavy industry, preferably coal washeries or power plants.
• Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, and technical knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, and control systems.
• Education: Often a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
