We are a leading organisation in the Gas Systems sector, specialising in LPG, CNG, and NG operations. The Shift Engineer will support the Site In-charge in ensuring safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operations of fuel yards and gas stations. The role involves hands-on maintenance, supervision of operations, and strict adherence to safety standards.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Support Site In-charge in safe and smooth operation of Fuel yard, NG, and CNG stations.
Carry out preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of equipment including compressors, pumps, motors, dispensers, control panels, and pipelines.
Monitor daily operations and attend to breakdowns ensuring minimum downtime.
Ensure compliance with O&M checklists, SOPs, and safety procedures.
Coordinate with OEM service teams for specialised maintenance.
Supervise technicians and operators during shift operations.
Allocate daily jobs as per manpower schedule from Site In-charge.
Conduct toolbox talks and safety checks before starting work.
Verify completion of maintenance tasks and update job records.
Maintain daily log sheets of operational parameters, breakdowns, and maintenance activities.
Prepare and submit shift reports to Site In-charge.
Support preparation of monthly O&M reports, fuel/CNG stock records, and consumption analysis.
Document incident reports, maintenance records, and checklists.
Follow and enforce PESO, OISD, and plant safety guidelines.
Ensure PTW (Permit-to-Work), LOTO, and PPE compliance at site.
Participate in safety audits, inspections, and mock drills.
Report near-misses and support RCA/CAPA implementation.
Support Site In-charge in customer meetings, audits, and inspections.
Provide technical inputs on operational issues and improvements.
Mentor and train technicians on equipment operation, troubleshooting, and safety practices.
Assist Site In-charge in maintaining the skill matrix of team members.
Participate in internal/external training programs to upgrade technical skills.
Key Skills Required:
Strong knowledge of LPG/CNG/NG equipment and operations.
Ability to supervise and mentor technicians effectively.
Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong adherence to safety standards, SOPs, and compliance requirements.
Effective communication and reporting skills.
Eligibility / Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering.
Minimum 7 years of experience in operation and maintenance of LPG, CNG, NG systems, or similar Oil & Gas installations.
Hands-on knowledge of compressors, pumps, dispensers, and control panels.
Awareness of PESO, OISD, PTW, LOTO, and PPE standards.
