Financial Audits:
Conduct regular financial audits of SHGs to verify records, receipts, and disbursements.
Examine cash flow, bank statements, loan disbursement, and repayment practices.
Ensure that financial practices are in compliance with SHG guidelines and standards.
2. Process Audits:
Review SHG meetings and documentation processes.
Monitor savings, loan recovery, and overall group performance against established KPIs.
3. Reporting:
Prepare detailed audit reports with findings, including financial discrepancies and any issues of non-compliance.
Provide recommendations to SHGs for improved financial management practices.
Submit audit reports to district/project offices for review and action.
4. Capacity Building:
Conduct training sessions for SHG members on financial record-keeping, reporting, and auditing practices.
Offer guidance on maintaining accurate books of accounts, financial discipline, and documentation.
5. Compliance:
Ensure that SHGs follow internal control mechanisms, and compliance protocols set by regulatory authorities or the supporting organization.
Ensure the accuracy and authenticity of SHG financial transactions.
6. Field Visits:
Conduct field visits to SHG groups across different areas.
Engage with SHG members to resolve issues related to finance and audits.
