Shaping Coil Operator

The Shaping Coil Operator is responsible for shaping coils using tools, fixtures, and forming equipment to meet specified dimensions and fitment requirements before molding or further processing. The role focuses on precision, quality compliance, and safe handling of coils. Freshers will be trained as per company standards.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Shaping Operations

Perform coil shaping operations as per drawings and process instructions. Use fixtures, jigs, and forming tools to achieve accurate shape and alignment. Ensure coils meet dimensional and fitment requirements.

2. Quality Control & Inspection

Inspect shaped coils for dimensional accuracy, symmetry, and insulation condition. Identify defects such as improper shape, misalignment, or insulation damage. Segregate non-conforming coils and report to supervisor or quality team.

3. Production & Productivity

Meet daily and shift-wise production targets. Minimize rework, scrap, and material loss. Ensure smooth workflow to the molding section.

4. Tool & Equipment Handling

Handle shaping tools, jigs, fixtures, and presses safely. Maintain tools in good working condition. Report tool wear, damage, or equipment issues promptly.

5. Safety & Housekeeping

Follow safety rules, SOPs, and EHS standards. Wear required PPE including safety shoes and uniform. Maintain 5S and cleanliness in the shaping area.

6. Documentation & Reporting

Update production records and job cards. Report completed work and issues to the supervisor. Participate in shift handover communication.

7. Additional Responsibility

During idle time, the operator may be assigned to support other shop-floor operations as per production requirements.

Education & Qualification

Minimum: 10th / 12th Pass Preferred: ITI (Electrical / Fitter / Production) Freshers are welcome and will be trained
