Job Description

Key Responsibilities for Accounts & Finance

Maintain

complete books of accounts

including: Cash book, bank book, general ledger, journal entries Project-wise and site-wise accounting Handle

construction-specific accounting

such as: Contractor bills, RA bills, subcontractor payments Material purchase accounting and reconciliation Work-in-Progress (WIP) and cost capitalization Monitor

project budgets vs actuals

, cost tracking and variance analysis Prepare

monthly MIS reports

: Project profitability Cash flow statements Outstanding receivables & payables Coordinate with banks for: Project loans, overdrafts, BGs, LC documentation Assist in

finalization of accounts

and audit coordination
2. Taxation & Statutory Compliance

GST Compliance (Construction-Specific)

: GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, annual returns) GST reconciliation (2B vs purchase register) Reverse Charge Mechanism (RCM) entries GST implications on labor contracts, works contracts

TDS Compliance

: TDS on contractors (194C), professionals (194J), rent (194I), etc. Monthly challans, quarterly TDS returns, Form 16A

Income Tax

: Advance tax workings Support in income tax assessments and notices

Labour Law Compliance

: PF, ESIC, PT Labour cess (BOCW) Contractor labour compliance documentation
3. Payroll & HR Administration

Prepare

monthly payroll

for staff and site employees Handle: Salary processing Leave records Bonus, gratuity, final settlements Ensure timely

PF, ESIC, PT deductions & filings

Maintain employee records, joining, exits & documentation
4. Vendor, Contractor & Site Coordination

Verification and processing of: Vendor invoices Contractor RA bills Labour contractor payments Coordinate with

site engineers, project managers, and stores

for: Material consumption Stock reconciliation Measurement sheets Maintain

creditor ageing

, payment schedules, and follow-ups
5. Administration & Office Management

Oversee

office and site administration

, including: Vendor management (stationery, utilities, security, housekeeping) Office expenses and controls Draft and manage: Agreements, purchase orders, work orders Ensure

statutory registers and records

are updated Support legal documentation and compliance as required
6. Audit & Documentation

Coordinate with: Statutory auditors Internal auditors Tax consultants Prepare and maintain: Audit schedules Supporting documents Compliance records Handle notices from: GST, Income Tax, Labour Department, Local Authorities
Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of

construction accounting & project costing

Excellent understanding of

GST & TDS in construction industry

Proficiency in: Tally / Tally Prime MS Excel (advanced) Accounting & compliance software Ability to work independently and handle

multiple projects/sites

Strong coordination and communication skills High level of accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality
Educational Qualifications

B.Com / M.Com

(mandatory)

CA/CA Inter

- preferred Certification in GST / Taxation - added advantage

MBA

- Preferred
Experience Requirements

5-10 years

of relevant experience Minimum

3-5 years in Construction / Real Estate industry
