Position Summary:The Director of Sales - Banquets & Events leads all sales efforts for the hotel's banqueting and event spaces. The role focuses on driving revenue, building key client relationships, and ensuring seamless coordination between sales and operations for successful event execution.Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve banquet and event revenue targets.- Identify new business opportunities across corporate, social, and wedding segments.- Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, proposals, negotiations, contracting, and post-event follow-up.- Conduct client meetings, site inspections, and presentations to secure business.- Collaborate with operations, F&B, and banquet teams to ensure smooth event delivery.- Lead, coach, and develop the banquets and events sales team.- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and client feedback to optimize pricing and packages.- Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and budgets.Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field.- 6-10 years of hotel sales experience, including leadership in banquets/events.- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.- Experience with sales systems such as Delphi, Opera, or similar.
