About the opportunity
The Technical Consultant - General Ledger (TC) plays a critical role in supporting General Ledger implementations by developing, maintaining, and delivering GL export definitions using XML and XSLT code. This position is a non-client facing role that works closely with the General Ledger Consultant throughout the entire implementation life cycle to ensure the successful delivery of technical solutions.
The Technical Consultant will contribute to the configuration, troubleshooting, and documentation of technical deliverables that integrate payroll and accounting data into clients' General Ledger systems. This role requires strong technical acumen, analytical problem-solving, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet client objectives efficiently and accurately.
What you'll get to do

  • Develop and maintain General Ledger export definitions using XML and XSLT to support payroll and accounting integrations.
  • Collaborate with the General Ledger Consultant to align export specifications with client requirements.
  • Utilize SQL to extract, transform, and validate data within the implementation process.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, identifying root causes and recommending effective solutions.
  • Ensure adherence to implementation standards, timelines, and quality metrics.
  • Document configuration requirements, technical issues, resolutions, and outcomes in a clear and organized manner.
  • Support multiple client projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
  • Work effectively with internal teams, including implementation consultants, developers, and product support.
Skills and experience we value
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Advanced knowledge of XML, XSLT, and SQL is required.
  • Experience working with SaaS/Cloud-based software, preferably within Human Capital Management (HCM) or payroll systems.
  • Dayforce implementation experience is strongly preferred.
  • Practical understanding of accounting principles and payroll processes.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve technical issues effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects or clients concurrently.
  • Excellent documentation, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Proven ability to collaborate in a team environment and contribute to process improvement.
