Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Commissioning

Supervise or assist in installing elevator systems in new buildings. Conduct testing and commissioning of elevators to ensure compliance with technical specifications and safety standards.

Maintenance & Servicing

Perform routine preventive maintenance checks. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues. Ensure minimal downtime and quick resolution of faults.

Repairs & Upgrades

Replace or repair faulty components such as motors, cables, control systems, doors, etc. Upgrade older systems to comply with modern safety standards.

Safety & Compliance

Follow safety regulations and company policies during all operations. Ensure elevators meet local codes and standards (e.g., EN 81, ASME A17.1).

Customer Interaction

Liaise with clients and building managers to schedule maintenance or report issues. Provide technical advice or recommendations on elevator usage or upgrades.

Documentation & Reporting

Maintain service records and logs. Report technical findings and complete job sheets.

Key Skills Required:

Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and control systems. Problem-solving and diagnostic abilities. Familiarity with safety standards and elevator regulations. Communication and customer service skills. Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.

Qualifications:

Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering. Certification or training in elevator technology (optional but beneficial). Experience with major elevator brands like Otis, KONE, Schindler, or ThyssenKrupp is an asset.
