Services Engineer- Drills/Digitalization - SK Mine

:

The Service Engineer - Drills & Digitalization will be responsible for ensuring the effective service, repair, and maintenance of underground drilling equipment, while also supporting the implementation and management of digital tools and technologies used in modern mining operations. This role requires hands-on technical skills in mechanical and electrical systems, combined with knowledge or a willingness to develop skills in digital diagnostics, telemetry, and performance monitoring systems.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

Education: Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Experience: Minimum 4 years in equipment maintenance; must have managed a team of at least 15 technicians.



Strong hands-on experience with construction & underground mining equipment. Sound knowledge of powertrain systems, hydraulics, electricals, and mechatronics.



Basic understanding of mining operations and equipment functionality, particularly drilling machines.



Exposure to or interest in digital platforms, diagnostic systems, and predictive maintenance.



Strong leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills.



Commitment to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Result oriented with strong ability to execute.

Well organized & Systematic.

Ability to communicate effectively with people at various level of organization.

Strong written, oral & interpersonal communication skills including communication with non-technical people.
