BUK & BX - All locations We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. We\'re flexible on how this works and it may continue to change and evolve. Depending on your team, typically this means that colleagues spend a minimum of between 20% to 60% of their time in the office, which could be over a week, a month or a quarter. However, some colleagues may choose to spend more time in the office over a typical period than their role type requires. We also have a flexible working process where, subject to business needs, all colleagues globally are able to request work patterns to reflect their personal circumstances These requests will be reviewed and agreed for a period of time i.e., will have a start and end date. Introduction: The candidate will play the role of Service Operations manager for EDP where his/her responsibility will be: - 1. To act as a bridge between business and technology 2. Ensure success of major platform migration activities happening within EDP 3. Track all critical milestones of migration and drive them to success. 4. Communicate effectively with technology and business teams 5. Ensure success of Colossus program 6. Produce weekly/monthly reports on system stability 7. Work with various technology teams during for user reported and major issues In this leadership role the candidate will own both service level management as well as support for assigned services within their domain. This individual will act as the accountable owner for all aspects of their services and this includes influencing required matrix teams to deliver production stability. This is a hybrid technical/leadership role and the individual fulfilling this role will be able to both technically engage in issues but also present complex technical topics, influence, and guide non-technical senior audiences. This individual will be accountable to maintain control within their domain including productivity/SLA reporting to ensure most efficient and effective utilization of assigned staff. Candidate will be based out of Pune and should be willing to support 16 X 7 work with other team members. Candidate should be open to work in India and UK hours during weekday and weekends. What will you be doing - Lead Application & Platform specific technical discussion with IT teams for on-boarding and daily operational governance for stability, availability, continuity for our business. - Ensure all Barclays technology standards are followed. - Engagement with business to understand their issues and engage with IT teams for permanent fix & issue resolution. - Triage incidents which may have a potential impact on the service. - Review Incident, Problem, Change & Events regularly to ensure we understand issues and fix them wherever applicable. - Ensure no manual activities are introduced in any release or those are automated where deemed necessary. - Conduct resiliency test regularly to ensure application stability. - Provide leadership for all EDP owned applications/platforms from a India time zone perspective and work closely with GTSM EDP Global Lead & GTSM EDP Head on strategic alignment & objectives. - Work closely with other leads across regions for smooth handover of issues/resolutions. What we\'re looking for: All skills listed are deemed necessary: . Hands on experience on project management and major platform migrations . Should have experience of stake holder management . Should have good understanding of SAS, Hadoop and Big Data . Ability to breakdown complex problems using appropriate design patterns and best practices demonstrating a strong knowledge foundation and a sound approach to problem-solving. . Ability to build automated pipelines that integrate and transport software through reliable, secure, and governed channels from conception to production. . Ability to build a suite of real-time monitoring and automation software that encompass resilient and self-healing platform operations. . Ability to conduct effective triage and remediation of production incidents with accompanying customer service and support for all clients of the platform.
