Description:
ServiceNow Security Operations (SecOps) Consultant should be able to implement, configure, and optimize our security posture using the ServiceNow platform. This role is crucial for automating and streamlining security response workflows, managing vulnerabilities effectively, and integrating security data with core IT processes.
Key Responsibilities:
SecOps Implementation: Lead the design and implementation of ServiceNow Security Operations suites, specifically focusing on Security Incident Response (SIR) and Vulnerability Response (VR) modules.
Workflow Automation: Develop and configure automated workflows, and orchestration within the SecOps framework to accelerate incident containment and remediation times.
Integration & APIs: Design, implement, and maintain integrations between ServiceNow SecOps modules and external security tools (e.g., SIEMs, Threat Intelligence Platforms, vulnerability scanners like Qualys or Tenable) using REST/SOAP APIs and the Integration Hub.
Platform Customization & Scripting: Customize the platform to meet specific security requirements using JavaScript, Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, and Flow Designer.
ITSM Alignment: Ensure seamless integration and data flow between SecOps and foundational IT modules like ITSM (Incident, Change) ensuring accurate context for security threats.
Reporting & Analytics: Develop reports, dashboards, and metrics to monitor key security performance indicators (KPIs), track remediation progress, and ensure compliance reporting.
Required Skills & Experience
Overall Experience: 5 8 years of total experience working with enterprise software systems, with a minimum of 2 3 years of dedicated, hands-on experience implementing and managing ServiceNow Security Operations (SIR/VR) modules.
Platform Knowledge: Strong understanding of core ServiceNow platform features, architecture, and navigation, as well as basic knowledge of ITSM processes.
Preferred Certifications
Mandatory: ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification.
Highly Desirable:
ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist Security Operations (CIS-SIR/VR).
ITIL v4 Foundation certification.
