An automotive service manager's job is to run an efficient and profitable service department. Their duties include choosing and overseeing productive staff, customer retention, cost controls, maintenance of all service records and achievement of set objectives.
Maintain inventory by monitoring stock levels, ordering parts and supplies, and overseeing the organization of the parts department. Manage customer inquiries and complaints, resolving issues promptly and ensuring their satisfaction.
Manage and supervise a team of technicians, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
Ensure the efficient and timely completion of customer vehicle repairs and maintenance, while maintaining high-quality standards.
Develop and implement service procedures and policies to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
