3. Key Responsibilities
A. Customer Service & Support
Attend customer complaints related to battery performance, charging issues, or starting problems.
Provide technical guidance and basic troubleshooting over phone or during field visits.
Educate customers on proper battery usage, maintenance, and safety.
B. Battery Testing & Diagnostics
Perform battery health tests using hydrometers, multimeters, battery analyzers, etc.
Check specific gravity, voltage, charging rate, electrolyte level, and terminal condition.
Identify causes of battery failures (undercharging, overcharging, sulphation, improper use).
C. Installation & Field Service
Install new batteries at customer site or dealer point (Automotive, Inverter, UPS, Solar).
Ensure proper cabling, polarity, ventilation, and safety measures.
Conduct routine maintenance and preventive service visits.
D. Warranty & Claims Management
Verify warranty eligibility based on date code, bill, and serial number.
Prepare and submit warranty claim forms with test reports.
Replace defective batteries as per Exide warranty policy.
Track warranty stock and coordinate with dealers/service centers.
E. Reporting & Documentation
Maintain records of service calls, test results, battery replacements, and customer feedback.
Update CRM/service management software regularly.
Prepare daily/weekly service reports for the service manager.
F. Dealer Support
Provide technical training to dealers on installation and battery maintenance.
Assist dealers with claim procedures and product knowledge.
Build strong relationship with retailers, mechanics, and channel partners.

4. Required Skills & Competencies
Technical Skills
Knowledge of battery types: Automotive, SMF, Tubular, VRLA, Industrial.
Hands-on experience with battery testing tools.
Understanding of charging systems of vehicles, inverters, UPS, and solar setups.
Ability to diagnose root cause of battery failure.
Soft Skills
Good communication and customer-handling skills.

5. Qualifications
Minimum: ITI (Electrical/Automobile), Diploma (EE/EEE/Mechanical)
Preferred: Experience in battery service, inverter service, or automotive service
Experience: 1-3 years in similar field (freshers with technical qualification also eligible)

Pay: ?10,285.50 - ?33,573.33 per month
