The Service Engineer will be responsible for installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of construction heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, Tippers, compactors, batching plants, and other earthmoving machinery. The role ensures equipment uptime, reliability, and customer satisfaction through effective service support and technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform
installation, commissioning, inspection, and preventive maintenance
of heavy construction equipment at sites.
Diagnose and troubleshoot
mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues
in equipment.
Conduct
regular maintenance checks
and ensure machines operate at optimal performance.
Prepare and maintain
service reports, maintenance logs, and breakdown records
.
Coordinate with OEMs and vendors for
spare parts procurement and warranty claims
.
Support
operators and site teams
with equipment operation training and basic troubleshooting.
Ensure adherence to
safety standards and company service protocols
.
Identify and escalate
recurring issues
or equipment performance deviations to the management.
Assist in
commissioning of new equipment
and ensure handover with all documentation.
Maintain good customer relations and represent the company professionally on site.
Required Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of
diesel engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, Transmissions, Pumps and electrical systems
.
Proficiency in using
diagnostic tools, multimeters, and service manuals
.
Ability to read and interpret
equipment schematics and service drawings
.
Problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
Good communication and reporting ability.
Willingness to travel and work at project sites.
Qualification & Experience:
Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Automobile Engineering
