The Sales & Service Engineer - Healthcare supports both
pre-sales technical engagement
and
post-sales service delivery
for medical and healthcare technology solutions. The role ensures safe, compliant, and reliable deployment of healthcare systems while supporting sales growth through expert technical consultation.
Key ResponsibilitiesPre-Sales & Clinical Support
Partner with sales teams to understand clinical workflows and customer requirements
Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations for clinicians, biomedical teams, and hospital administrators
Support tenders, RFQs, and RFPs with compliant technical documentation
Assist in solution design aligned with hospital infrastructure and regulatory standards
Act as a technical expert during customer evaluations and trials
Installation, Commissioning & Validation
Install, configure, and commission medical devices or healthcare systems at customer sites
Perform system validation and acceptance testing in compliance with healthcare regulations
Coordinate with hospital biomedical engineering teams during deployment
Ensure systems are safe, functional, and ready for clinical use
Service & Technical Support
Provide on-site and remote troubleshooting and corrective maintenance
Execute preventive maintenance as per manufacturer and regulatory guidelines
Maintain service records, calibration logs, and compliance documentation
Ensure minimal downtime for critical healthcare equipment
Training & Knowledge Transfer
Train clinicians, nurses, technicians, and biomedical engineers on proper system usage
Deliver technical training to internal sales and service teams
Support go-live activities and post-installation stabilization
Compliance & Quality
Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations and quality standards (e.g., ISO 13485, IEC standards, FDA/CE where applicable)
Follow hospital infection control, safety, and documentation protocols
Participate in audits and quality improvement initiatives
Customer Relationship & Growth
Serve as the primary technical interface for hospitals, labs, and clinics
Gather feedback from clinical users and relay insights to product and engineering teams
Identify opportunities for upgrades, consumables, service contracts, and new installations
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or Diploma in
Biomedical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or Clinical Engineering
2-6+ years of experience in
healthcare sales engineering, medical device service, or hospital engineering
Experience working in hospital, laboratory, or clinical environments
Strong understanding of medical equipment safety and compliance requirements
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: Up to ?30,000.00 per month
