The Service Engineer will be responsible for installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical equipment at customer sites. The role requires hands-on technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to ensure equipment operates efficiently and reliably.
Key Responsibilities
:
Install, commission, and test electrical/mechanical equipment as per company standards.
Perform scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance of machines and systems.
Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in electrical circuits, motors, pumps, and mechanical assemblies.
Provide technical support to customers on-site and remotely.
Prepare service reports, inspection documents, and maintenance records.
Ensure compliance with safety procedures and industry standards during service activities.
Coordinate with the production and design teams for technical improvements.
Train operators or client staff on the correct operation of equipment.
Respond promptly to customer service requests to minimize downtime.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, drives, and mechanical components.
Ability to read and interpret electrical & mechanical schematics and drawings.
Hands-on skills with tools and diagnostic equipment.
Problem-solving and analytical thinking.
Good communication and customer-handling skills.
Willingness to travel frequently to customer sites.
Qualifications & Experience:
Diploma / ITI in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
Fresher/1 years of experience in installation, maintenance, and servicing of industrial equipment (freshers with good technical skills may also apply).
Knowledge of safety procedures, electrical standards, and mechanical assembly practices.
