Required B.E / B.tech / Diploma in Engineer - Biomedical engineer , Electrical engineer , mechanical engineer ,

2-3 years in medical diagnostic/ IVD company as service engineer / as biomedical engineer with hospital

1. Instrumentation Knowledge

Biochemistry analyzers Hematology analyzers Immunoassay / CLIA / ELISA systems Electrolyte analyzers Urine analyzers Point-of-Care (POC) devices
Understanding of:

Optics (photometry, fluorescence) Fluidics (pumps, valves, probes) Electro-mechanical assemblies Sensors & detectors
2. Installation & Commissioning

Site readiness check (power, earthing, water, temperature) Instrument installation & calibration First run / validation User training for lab staff
3. Troubleshooting & Breakdown Handling

Error code interpretation Mechanical, electrical & software fault diagnosis Root cause analysis (RCA) Preventive vs corrective maintenance Minimizing instrument downtime (critical KPI)
4. Preventive Maintenance (PM)

Scheduled servicing as per OEM guidelines Replacement of wear-and-tear parts Performance verification after PM PM documentation & checklist compliance
5. Reagents & Consumables Handling

Proper storage conditions Lot change & calibration Carry-over, contamination and QC issues Understanding reagent-instrument interaction
Software & IT Skills

Instrument software operation LIS / HIS interfacing (HL7 basics) Windows OS basics Remote diagnostics (TeamViewer / VPN tools) Firmware & software upgrades
Quality & Compliance Knowledge

NABL / CAP / ISO 15189 basics QC, calibration & validation concepts Documentation & service reports Bio-medical waste & safety protocols
Soft Skills (Very Important)

Clear communication with lab technicians & doctors Customer handling under pressure Time management & multitasking Willingness to travel extensively Professional behavior during breakdowns
Practical Job Requirements

Valid two-wheeler / car driving license Field readiness (on-call support) Basic tool handling (multimeter, pipettes, alignment tools)
Salary range 20k- 50 k per month with handsome incentive .
