Your Role

Purpose / Mission

As SDH - Apps and Software, your mission is to lead from the front, the Apps and Software teams of GECIA to deliver projects and solutions related to Apps and Software development and testing. Also lead the technological advancement and drive the technical competence in teams at Global Engineering Centre of Atlas Copco, to become and remain preferred partner for Digitalization journey of our stake holders.

You shall achieve this, by driving Innovation and adoption of emerging technologies, developing talent, and achieving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Focus

  • Anticipate emerging needs of customer and align business processes and resources to meet those needs
  • Enhance customer satisfaction levels by driving a customer-focused culture and developing new portfolio and services in conjunction with the Business Head to better meet customer needs
  • Build and maintain strong relationship with all customers and stakeholders from business team of GECIA
  • Prompt and proactive communication with all stakeholders
  • Building and implementing effective governance mechanism to ensure tracking, progress and update on projects, proposals and business engagement.
  • Create & maintain various Dashboards, KPI to Control, Monitor & Improve the Quality, Delivery, and the cost parameters
  • Ensure GECIA\'s contribution towards technological advances
  • Ensure dedicated resources / team availability for the customers
  • Develop new service offerings and drive business for the same
  • Develop and coach team members from Business team on technical aspects and competence of Data Analytics team for effective communication with customers as first point of contact from GECIA for Apps and Software related services and support

  • Create and develop subject matter experts in various technology stacks related to Apps and Software, who in turn can establish GECIA firmly as competence centre.

  • Front runner in Innovation and adoption of emerging technologies - Be up to date on industry trends, competitive landscape, and drive innovation in related areas to stay ahead in the game
  • Drive the innovation culture in the team to nurture innovative ideas with focus on execution - Research, Innovation events, Proof of Concepts, break through solutions
  • Promote Cross-Pollination of the technologies by representing GECIA at various internal and external Technology forums
  • Develop infrastructure needed and leverage India ecosystem (Universities, Start-ups, Partners) for meaningful Innovative solution with quantifiable business impact
  • Propose plans to bridge the competency gaps and oversee the implementation of technology solutions throughout the Competence
Operational Excellence
  • Create, Develop & Maintain a Resource Planning Mechanism to deliver optimum resource utilization
  • Ensure the Costs per hour remains as targeted by the Group Management
  • Bring Transparency in resource Planning to indicate the Resource Occupancy on different Projects and identify potential bottlenecks.
  • Identify and plan resource and infrastructure needs required to successfully execute project deliveries
  • Develop and refine solution offerings, requirements definition and estimation process for effective delivery engagement achieving sales & revenue targets
  • Identify and implement the process improvements related to project management, client interactions, etc. to achieve the business goals.
  • Effectively lead the team to ensure high project billability, profitability, and revenue realization with a focus on quality delivery
  • Identify and engage business partners based on competence / customer needs
To succeed, you will need

Experience Requirement:
  • Deep understanding of the SDLC and various phases involved in software development including requirement gathering, design, development, testing, deployment and maintenance process.
  • Skilled in managing complex projects, creating project plans, and managing on time delivery within budget.
  • Experience in managing cross functional teams, resolving conflicts, and creating positive work environment.
  • Hands on experience on one or more programming languages such as .Net, Python, Java, React, C++ etc.
  • Good understanding of software architecture patterns such as microservices, SOA, EDA.
  • Good experience with database management systems such as MySQL, Oracle, MogoDB and have designed and implemented database schemas.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud platforms. Knowledge of AWS and GCP is an added advantage.
  • Experience in Agile way of working is must.
  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools such as CI/CD, containerization, and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes is good to have.
  • You should be able communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders and be able to explain technical concepts to non-technical audience
  • Experience in implementing quality assurance processes and ensuring that software products meet quality standards.
