We are looking for a knowledgeable and customer-focused
Service Advisor
to coordinate and manage service requests for diesel generator (DG) sets. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of DG set operations, maintenance, and service procedures, and will act as the key point of contact between customers and the technical service team.
Key Responsibilities:
Interact with customers to understand issues or service requirements related to DG sets.
Log complaints, generate service job cards, and schedule service visits.
Coordinate with field technicians and engineers for timely service execution.
Provide technical advice to customers regarding maintenance and repair options.
Share service quotations, estimates, and AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract) proposals.
Track service progress and ensure timely job completion.
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, service requests, job status, and parts used.
Ensure service delivery meets quality standards and customer satisfaction.
Follow up with customers post-service to ensure resolution and gather feedback.
Support spare parts availability and service team logistics coordination.
Requirements:
Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering field.
2-5 years of experience in Automobile / DG Set service, customer support, or similar roles.
Familiarity with DG set brands (Cummins, Kirloskar, Mahindra Powerol, Greaves, etc.) and their maintenance protocols.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to read technical documents, schematics, and service manuals.
Proficiency in MS Office and service CRM tools.
Valid driving license (preferred for field visits).
