Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Body Shop Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of automotive repair processes and be able to assess damage accurately to provide comprehensive estimates for repairs. This role is crucial in ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining the efficiency of our body shop operations.

Duties

Evaluate damaged vehicles and determine the extent of repairs needed. Prepare detailed cost estimates for parts and labour required for repairs. Communicate effectively with customers, explaining the estimation process and addressing any queries. Collaborate with technicians to ensure accurate assessments and timely completion of repairs. Maintain accurate records of estimates, repairs, and customer interactions. Utilise hand tools and power tools safely while adhering to health and safety regulations. Conduct regular inspections of repair work to ensure quality standards are met.

Requirements

Proven experience in automotive repair or a related field is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to identify issues quickly. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during the estimation process. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
