Job Description

A Service Advisor acts as the link between customers and technicians, managing vehicle service by greeting clients, diagnosing issues, explaining repairs/costs, scheduling work, and providing updates, ensuring high customer satisfaction through strong communication, automotive knowledge, and problem-solving skills. Key duties involve writing repair orders, getting approvals, overseeing job progress, and handling complaints, while requiring skills in sales, organization, and understanding technical details. Key Responsibilities

Customer Interaction:

Greet customers, listen to concerns, answer questions, and provide updates on service status.

Needs Assessment:

Consult with technicians, inspect vehicles, and accurately translate customer issues into repair orders.

Cost & Time Management:

Estimate repair costs, explain timelines, gain authorization for additional work, and handle payments/credit.

Sales & Upselling:

Inform customers about relevant parts, services, and maintenance options.

Administrative Tasks:

Manage service appointments, update client records, and maintain service department forms.

Quality Control:

Ensure vehicles are ready, review completed work, and handle customer escalations or complaints.
