About the Role
Were looking for detail-oriented individuals to join our classification team for a short term (2 months) as Server Tagging Analysts. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and tagging community servers based on a defined taxonomy and clear guidelines. Your work will directly impact server discoverability and improve user experience on a major global gaming communication platform.
This is a hands-on, operational role for people who are internet-savvy, gaming-aware, and enjoy making sense of content through structured categorization.
xe2x9axa0xefxb8x8f This is a 2-month contract role. If the candidate performs exceptionally well, they may be considered for full-time employment as per the business needs.
Core Responsibilities

• Review and classify community servers according to provided taxonomy and tagging guidelines.
• Apply appropriate tags based on server content, game associations, and other metadata signals.
• Document and justify tagging decisions clearly, including concise summaries and supporting evidence.
• Identify and escalate ambiguous, harmful, or borderline content according to escalation protocols.
• Collaborate with fellow taggers and QA reviewers to resolve discrepancies and improve tagging consistency.

Key Skills and Competencies
1. Domain Awareness

• Familiarity with gaming communities, platforms (like Discord, STEAM), and general internet culture.
• Awareness of popular games, genres, and online fan or player communities.

2. Attention to Detail

• Strong observational skills and an analytical mindset to interpret diverse content types.
• High level of accuracy in applying classification rules.

3. Research Proficiency

• Confident in using web tools (Google, YouTube, IGDB) for quick and relevant lookups.
• Ability to cross-verify content for correct tagging in a fast-paced setting.

4. Communication & Documentation

• Clear written communication for documenting tagging rationale and reports.
• Basic proficiency in English; multilingual capabilities are a plus.

5. Accountability & Team Collaboration

• Self-starter who can manage individual workload with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to collaborate and align with team-wide quality and consistency goals.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in tagging, content moderation, trust & safety, or similar operational roles.
• Exposure to classification frameworks, metadata tagging systems, or taxonomies.
• Experience in gaming or fan-driven communities.
