Job Description

The Server will be responsible for creating a warm and welcoming experience for all customers, expertly preparing beverages and food according to our standards, and maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of the coffee/food service area. This role requires speed, precision, excellent interpersonal skills, and a genuine interest in food and drink service.

Key Responsibilities

Beverage & Food Preparation:

Expertly prepare and serve all menu items, including espresso drinks, brewed coffee, teas, and specialty beverages, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards. Prepare and manage the service of pre-packaged food items, such as pastries, sandwiches, and snacks, ensuring proper handling and rotation. Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, blenders, and other preparation equipment.

Customer Service & Sales:

Greet all customers promptly and warmly, taking orders accurately and efficiently. Answer customer questions regarding menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods.

Operations & Maintenance:

Ensure the coffee/food service area is clean, tidy, and well-stocked at all times, including display cases, counters, and seating areas. Monitor and restock inventory, communicating low-stock items to management. Perform opening and closing duties, which include cleaning equipment, preparing stations, and securing the area.

Qualifications

Experience:

Previous experience (6+ months preferred) as a barista or in a similar food/beverage service role is highly desirable.

Knowledge:

Working knowledge of espresso, brewing methods, and standard coffee/tea drinks.

Skills:

Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Attitude:

Punctual, reliable, and a strong team player. Enthusiastic and positive demeanor. Willingness to learn and adapt to new menu items and procedures.
