Server Management
Server compute management Includes all OS, Server Hardware (Windows & Linux)
Activities Performed:
PerformIncident, Problem, Access, Change, Provisioning, Patching, Recovery, Availability, Performance, Capacity reporting and Health Monitoring and reporting.
+ Includesmonitoring CPU/memory/disk utilization, free disk space. Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to server operating system under scope of support.
+ Includes working with OEMs, various application and business users.
Providing trend analysis and suggestion to remove waste and improve efficiency.
+ Includes recommendations for better provisioning and distributing the workload in the VMWare server environment. Complete Server H/W and OS administration including monthly patch and provisioning management.
+ Includes timely deployment of new or upgraded servers, OS or underlying storage subsystems including retirement procedures.
+ Includes working with various application and business users to facilitate. Troubleshooting of server hardware and OS incidents and timely implementing rectification measures
Implementation and maintenance of standard operating procedures for maintenance of servers
Manage the development and maintenance of and 100% adherence to Server hardware and OS hardening standards.
Perform new server builds, and server de-commissioning requests, up to 3 such builds/de-comm requests per month.
Monthly server maintenance tasks as defined during service transition.
Monitoring and issue resolution of server endpoint software, agents and tools that are under Partner scope of work.
Preparation of operational reports
Managing and reporting on quarterly audit of all related administrative accounts
Server Incident Reports on weekly
Change management report monthly.
Capacity reports monthly
Monthly review and reporting of server logs using tools provided by Lenovo's Client.
Timely remediation of 3rd party notified SOC Incidents and vulnerabilities with assistance of Lenovo's Client team in terms of provisioning additional resources and approvals.
Performing Physical to Virtual & Virtual to Virtual migrations (excluding cloud migrations), limited to 5 per month. Application dependencies identified and advised by Lenovo's Client.
Support planned and unplanned outages.
Procedural handbook along with KB should be populated / updated.
