Key Responsibilities



1. On-Page SEO



Perform

keyword research

using Google Keyword Planner, SEMrush, or Ahrefs. Optimize

title tags, meta descriptions, headings (H1-H6)

, and URL structures. Create and optimize

SEO-friendly content

for blogs and landing pages. Implement

internal linking strategies

to improve site structure and crawlability. Add and validate

schema markup (structured data)

. Ensure

image optimization

(ALT tags, compression, proper filenames).

2. Off-Page SEO



Execute

link-building campaigns

(guest posting, outreach, directory submissions). Perform

competitor backlink analysis

to discover link-building opportunities. Submit websites to

local listings, citations, and niche directories

. Promote content using

digital PR and outreach strategies

.

3. Technical SEO



Conduct

SEO audits

using tools like Screaming Frog, Sitebulb, or SEMrush. Resolve issues related to

site speed, mobile usability, and crawl errors

. Coordinate with developers to fix

indexing, canonical, and sitemap issues

. Ensure compliance with

Core Web Vitals

and maintain site hierarchy.

4. Google My Business (GMB) & Local SEO



Create, verify, and optimize

Google My Business profiles

. Add

accurate NAP (Name, Address, Phone)

information and service areas. Post regular updates, offers, and photos on GMB to improve engagement. Build

local citations

and monitor reviews for reputation management. Track

GMB insights

to measure call, visit, and direction requests. Work on

ranking GMB listings in local map packs and Google search results.


5. Analytics & Reporting



Set up and monitor

Google Analytics (GA4)

and

Google Search Console

. Track keyword rankings, GMB performance, and organic traffic growth. Generate weekly/monthly SEO performance reports. Use data to suggest actionable improvements to campaigns.

6. Collaboration & Learning



Coordinate with

content writers, designers, and developers

for SEO needs. Stay updated with

Google algorithm changes, local SEO trends, and tools

. Document all processes, learnings, and maintain SEO checklists.

Required Skills & Knowledge



Basic knowledge of

SEO fundamentals

. Familiarity with

Google My Business

, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics. Proficiency with

MS Excel/Google Sheets

for reporting and data analysis. Strong research and competitor analysis skills. Knowledge of

HTML basics (meta tags, headings, alt tags)

is a plus.

Preferred (but not mandatory)



Exposure to SEO tools like SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, Screaming Frog. Basic understanding of

WordPress or other CMS platforms

. Awareness of

local SEO ranking factors

and citation-building techniques. Any SEO certifications (Google, HubSpot, Semrush Academy) will be an advantage.

Education



Bachelor's degree in Marketing, IT, Computer Science, or related field preferred. Freshers with strong interest in digital marketing and SEO are welcome.

Soft Skills



Analytical mindset with attention to detail. Ability to follow structured processes and take initiative. Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment. Time management skills to handle multiple assignments.
