Role Overview
We're looking for a driven and curious candidate who will lead Datastraw's efforts in
AI Search Optimization
- managing SEO and GEO initiatives for both our clients and our own brand.

while also building and driving our
GEO practice
- understanding how generative engines (like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity) source and display content, and how our clients can adapt for maximum visibility.
What You'll Do
SEO & Website Management
Manage on-page, off-page, and technical SEO for Datastraw and client websites.
Conduct keyword research, competitive analysis, and performance audits.
Create, optimize, and track high-performing content for organic growth.
Build dashboards and reporting frameworks for SEO performance.
GEO (Generative Engine Optimization)
Learn and implement GEO techniques to optimize content for AI-driven search visibility.
Experiment with content structures, authority signals, and metadata to improve inclusion in AI-generated responses.
Research and track emerging trends in AI search (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot, etc.).
Develop Datastraw's internal GEO playbook and frameworks for clients.
Train internal teams and guide clients on adapting their content strategies for generative search.
Leadership & Collaboration
Take ownership of SEO & GEO strategy across all clients and internal projects.
Work closely with the content, design, and tech teams to ensure alignment and consistency.
Lead experiments, measure outcomes, and communicate insights to leadership and clients.
Stay updated with AI developments, tools, and best practices - and bring those learnings into our work.
What We're Looking For
1-2 years of proven experience in SEO (agency or client-side).
Strong understanding of keyword research, content optimization, and analytics tools (Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs, SEMrush, etc.).
Familiarity with AI tools (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, etc.) and interest in how generative models reshape search.
Excellent written and analytical skills - able to turn data into strategy.
Curiosity to learn and experiment with new forms of search optimization.
Proactive, self-driven, and comfortable working in an evolving space.
Leadership mentality - you'll be driving GEO as a new service line at Datastraw.
Bonus Points If You Have
Experience with schema markup, structured data, or AI content generation workflows.
Exposure to content strategy, PR, or digital marketing campaigns.
Understanding of machine learning, LLMs, or prompt engineering concepts.
