CricTracker is looking for an SEO Executive with a strong understanding of
cricket-focused SEO
. The role involves optimizing cricket content to improve organic visibility, real-time traffic, and keyword rankings across search engines. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced cricket news environment, handling live-match content, trending cricket topics, and evergreen cricket articles.
Key Responsibilities
1. Cricket SEO Execution
Optimize cricket content (news, previews, live blogs, match reports, features, listicles) for search engines.
Perform keyword research focused on match-based, player-based, team-based, and tournament-based cricket queries.
Implement on-page SEO elements including headlines, meta titles, meta descriptions, internal linking, and schema recommendations.
Support off-page SEO efforts by monitoring backlinks, brand mentions, and referral traffic related to cricket content.
2. Real-Time & News SEO
Work on real-time SEO during live cricket matches, breaking news, and trending cricket events.
Optimize articles quickly to capture top search positions during high-traffic match windows.
Monitor Google Discover and Top Stories performance and suggest optimizations.
3. Technical SEO Support
Identify and report technical SEO issues such as crawl errors, indexing problems, page speed issues, and mobile usability concerns.
Coordinate with tech and product teams for SEO-related fixes.
4. Content & Editorial Collaboration
Work closely with editorial, content writing, and social media teams to ensure SEO best practices are followed.
Suggest content ideas based on trending cricket searches, upcoming matches, tournaments, and seasonal cricket events.
5. Analytics & Reporting
Track organic traffic, keyword rankings, and performance using tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, or similar platforms.
Share daily and weekly SEO performance updates related to key cricket matches and tournaments.
6. Competitor & Market Research
Monitor competitor cricket websites for keyword trends, content formats, and SEO strategies.
Stay updated with search trends related to cricket.
