Summary Description of Role
Pearson's Workplace team are responsible for ensuring that our real estate portfolio and associated services are effectively managed to enable our people to do their best work in healthy and productive environments. The Senior Workplace Analyst is an important member of the Central Workplace team who supports financial data driven insights and analysis across Workplace.
Principal Responsibilities
The Senior Workplace Analyst will, in collaboration with, regional central teams and external colleagues, support the Workplace teams to use data to drive decision making and ensure both financial and operational commitments are measured, monitored, and delivered. In all instances the Senior Workplace Analyst shall work collaboratively with Workplace colleagues, PFS, Technical Accounting, Financial Control and Project Accounting teams to leverage best practice expertise and conform to central policies, governance and reporting requirements.
The Senior Workplace Analyst's role will cover:
Budget and Forecast Preparation and Maintenance. The Senior Workplace Analyst shall support the Regional Workplace teams and have responsibility to establish, track and monitor budgets and forecast to ensure that commitments are met, and issues escalated in a timely manner. Material cost variances will be understood, reported and escalated as necessary. The Senior Workplace Analyst will support the tracking of risks and opportunities. The foregoing shall include raising Capital Projects and Purchase Orders and maintaining the same.
Portfolio Management & Reporting. The Senior Workplace Analyst will be responsible for supporting the Regional Workplace teams by producing timely and accurate reporting and tracking, in collaboration with central colleagues, regarding in region workplace activity - including sublet income, transactions and projects, ensuring that the team meets the needs of the business.
Business Case Support. The Senior Workplace Analyst will be responsible for supporting the Regional Workplace team in the development of business cases - together with monitoring, tracking, and reporting of approved financial commitments. The foregoing shall include raising Capital Projects and Purchase Orders and maintaining the same
Client relationship management. The Senior Workplace analyst will support the Regional Managers and Regional Directors on operating expense topics which may include providing regular repots and/or attendance at key meetings.
Administration - The Senior Workplace Manager will be responsible for ensuring Purchase orders are raised in a timely manner and goods receipted appropriately. Suggest ways to improve ways of working to ensure costs are captured accurately in year.
Project Support. The Senior Workplace Analyst may be asked to support regional projects and initiatives from time to time - overseeing third party execution resources.
Coordination & Planning. The Senior Workplace Analyst will support the coordination of, and attend regular meetings with PFS, Regional Managers, Regional Directors and Central colleagues as applicable.
Vendor Performance & Governance. The Senior Workplace Analyst will support monthly, quarterly and annual business reviews between Pearson and its partners in coordination with the central team.
