Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior WordPress WooCommerce Developer to join our development team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance e-commerce websites using WordPress and WooCommerce. This role requires deep expertise in WordPress architecture, plugin development, WooCommerce customization, and integrating with third-party APIs and payment gateways.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design, development, and maintenance of custom WordPress themes and plugins tailored to project needs. Extend and customize WooCommerce to align with complex business requirements. Enhance site performance, security, and scalability across WordPress and WooCommerce environments. Integrate third-party platforms and RESTful APIs, including payment gateways, CRMs, ERPs, and inventory systems. Diagnose and resolve technical issues, bugs, and functional inconsistencies. Collaborate cross-functionally with UI/UX designers, product managers, and developers to ensure timely project delivery. Utilize Git for source control and follow CI/CD best practices for streamlined deployment workflows. Perform code reviews and provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers. Stay current with emerging trends and best practices in WordPress, WooCommerce, and broader web development. Develop fully responsive, mobile-first websites with optimized load times and performance metrics. Enhance site performance, security, and scalability across WordPress, WooCommerce, and Elementor-based environments. Implement and manage multilingual support using WPML, Polylang, or similar tools. Set up and configure Elasticsearch to support advanced site search capabilities. Oversee WordPress hosting, deployment, and scaling within AWS infrastructure. Build dynamic, logic-driven forms using Gravity Forms with third-party service integrations. Configure tracking and analytics using Google Tag Manager to monitor user behavior and conversions

Required Skills & Experience:

Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

Minimum 7 years of professional experience in WordPress development

Strong proficiency in PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery

Deep understanding of WooCommerce architecture and customization

Experience creating and modifying custom WordPress plugins and themes

Familiarity with modern front-end frameworks and tools (e.g., React, Vue, Tailwind is a plus)

Experience with Git, Composer, WP-CLI, and deployment automation tools

Solid understanding of security, SEO, and performance optimization in WordPress

Experience integrating with third-party APIs and services

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience with headless WordPress and Javascrip/API/Markup(JAM) stack architecture

Knowledge CI/CD pipelines, and cloud services (e.g., AWS)

Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodology

Experience with A/B testing and data-driven UX improvements
