Role Overview

We are looking for a

Senior WordPress Developer

who has strong technical expertise and a problem-solving mindset. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building custom solutions, optimizing performance, and working closely with teams and clients to deliver robust WordPress-based applications.

You will be responsible for developing custom plugins, themes, and scalable architectures while mentoring junior developers and contributing to technical decisions.

What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities)

Develop and customize WordPress plugins and custom themes from scratch Write clean, efficient, and reusable PHP code following best practices Ensure smooth integration between front-end and back-end components Optimize database queries and structures for performance and scalability Build and integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services Conduct code reviews, testing, debugging, and performance optimization Manage deployments and provide post-launch support when required Stay updated with emerging technologies and suggest improvements Collaborate with internal teams and clients for requirement gathering and delivery
Required Technical Skills

3+ years of hands-on experience with WordPress development Strong proficiency in PHP and MySQL Solid experience with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) Experience developing custom plugins and themes Familiarity with PHP frameworks such as Laravel or CodeIgniter Strong front-end skills: HTML, CSS, JavaScript Exposure to React or Vue.js is a plus Experience with Git or other version control systems Strong understanding of web performance, security, and scalable architecture
Required Soft Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Experience mentoring or leading development teams Clear communication skills and ability to join client discussions when needed Good time management and ability to handle multiple tasks
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

Experience with unit testing frameworks such as PHPUnit Exposure to other CMS platforms like WebFlow Experience with ACF-based workflows and advanced customization Ability to work across multiple CMS platforms
