of Senior Wordpress Developer

Praella Private Limited is hiring

a Senior WordPress Developer

, you will be responsible for leading WordPress-based projects from start to finish, including custom theme/plugin development, API integrations, performance optimisation, and ensuring high-quality deliverables. You will also mentor junior developers, contribute to architectural decisions, and collaborate with designers, project managers, and clients to deliver seamless web solutions.

Objectives of the Role:

Create user focused experiences through mockups provided Build personalized and customized features for customers Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and advancements Develop standard code that can serve as the foundation of future projects Perform tasks accurately and up to our quality standard

About the Role:

Lead the end-to-end development of WordPress websites, ensuring responsiveness, performance, and scalability. Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins tailored to client requirements. Work with ACF, WooCommerce, and other popular WordPress tools and integrations. Collaborate with designers to translate Figma/PSD/Wireframes into functional WordPress websites. Optimize websites for speed, SEO, and best practices in security. Implement REST APIs, third-party integrations, and custom functionalities. Troubleshoot and debug issues across different browsers and devices. Maintain code quality through version control (Git), testing, and documentation. Mentor junior developers and participate in code reviews. Stay updated with the latest WordPress trends, tools, and best practices.

Skills:

5+ years of professional experience

in WordPress development. Strong proficiency in

PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery

. Hands-on experience with

custom theme & plugin development

. Solid understanding of

WordPress architecture, hooks, actions, and filters

. Experience with

WooCommerce

and payment gateway integrations. Knowledge of

page builders

(Elementor, WPBakery, Gutenberg) while being able to work beyond them. Familiarity with

REST APIs, GraphQL, and headless WordPress

is a plus. Strong grasp of

website performance optimization

and

SEO best practices

. Experience with

Git, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes

. Ability to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Experience:

3-5 years of relevant industry experience

Qualification:

B.E/B.Tech/B.Sc [(C.S.E)/I.T], M.C.A, M.Sc (I.T)
