Role OverviewWe're seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented Senior Video Editor with a strong command of visual storytelling, editing techniques, and a pulse on what works on social media.Key ResponsibilitiesShort-form Editing- Edit short, social-first content: Reels, YouTube Shorts, teasers, influencer snippets.- Apply quick transitions, trendy typography, fast-paced cuts, and sound syncs for maximum engagement.- Hook audiences in the first 3 seconds.Long-form Editing- Edit longer (campaigns and YouTube) videos while maintaining brand tone and voice.- Ability to work with log files i.e., basic color correction and grading to go with it.Social & Trend Integration- Stay current with platform trends, audio formats, and viral editing styles.- Collaborate with creative teams for ideation and pitch-worthy video concepts.Post-production Expertise- Perform sound design, music layering, grading, and subtle motion enhancements.- Deliver exports optimized across formats (1:1, 9:16, 16:9) and platforms.Core Requirements- 3-4 years' experience in editing (preferably in fashion, lifestyle, or D2C content).- Advanced proficiency in:- Adobe Premiere Pro- Adobe Photoshop- Intermediate proficiency in:- Adobe After effects - Ability to create motion graphics or GIF-style animations.- In-depth understanding of Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and their algorithmic needs.- Skilled in fast-paced editing, transitions, jump cuts, and rhythm-based storytelling.- Strong color correction and grading aesthetics aligned with the brand's tone.- Capable of balancing multiple projects and deadlines without compromising quality.Good to Have (Bonus Skills)- Familiarity with shoot dynamics (camera framing, lighting, continuity).- Trendsetter mindset: Always on the lookout for new formats and hooks.- Familiarity with AI generation tools (ref:updazz.com)
