Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Head of Project Management Office (PMO) oversees project delivery; and ensures the adherence to the standards and policies throughout each project phases / MVPs development and execution.
As the PMO Head, the candidate should have a demonstrated good experience in project management principles or equivalent. The candidate should also have solid experience in:

  • Leading project management office functions
  • Plan and drive discussions at program level to tackle day to day program level issues
  • Collaborating with project delivery squad and business leaders to define, prioritize, and develop projects.
  • Planning project management, including setting deadlines, prioritizing tasks, and assigning team members to various deliverables.
  • Analyzing financial data, including project budgets, risks, and resource allocation.
  • Providing financial reports and budget outlines to stakeholders.
  • Overseeing the development of the project and ensuring that team members are carrying out their tasks efficiently while upholding the company's standards.
  • Continuously evaluating projects to ensure they are meeting company standards, adhering to budgets, and meeting deadlines.
  • At least 8-10 years of relevant project implementation experience
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Ensure the program adheres to the standards and policies
  • Ensure ceremonies are performed as per design at the required frequency
  • Ensure all artefacts are kept for key ceremonies / discussions of each squad and forum
  • Monitor the Technical Quality checklist for the program
  • Prepare, maintain and track the Business Quality checklist for the program
  • Plan and drive program level initiatives that span across squads for necessary coordination and leadership
  • Overall in charge on the communication related to the program
  • Overall in charge of tracking the finance of the program and ensure all financial forecast and reporting are performed on time
  • Provide program update regularly in different forums and for internal and external stakeholders

  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to work well as part of a team, establish and maintain effective networks and liaise with internal and external stakeholders at all levels and in an environment where priorities are subject to change
  • Capable of engaging key stakeholders and building alliances through active conversations including peer or more senior stakeholders who have no direct reporting relationships
  • Team players, welcomes different opinions
  • Assertive with logical reasoning
Regulatory & Business Conduct
  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group's Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
ROLE SPECIFIC TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
  • Good understanding of project administration activities
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Training, licenses, memberships and certifications
  • The candidate should have 10-15 years solid experience leading projects and managing project finance and quality assurance activities. The candidate should also have experience driving program level initiatives including process and risk governance.
