Senior US Accounting Specialist (with Taxation Experience)

We are seeking an experienced Senior US Accounting Specialist with strong knowledge of US GAAP, accounting processes, and US taxation. The role requires hands-on experience in managing US accounting operations, preparing financial statements, tax filings, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. Key Responsibilities
Manage full-cycle US accounting operations, including journal entries, reconciliations, AP/AR, and month-end/year-end closing.
Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with US GAAP.
Handle US federal, state, and local tax compliance, including preparation of tax returns (1120, 1120S, 1065, 1040, etc.).
Ensure timely filing of sales tax, payroll tax, and other statutory filings.
Coordinate with US CPAs, tax authorities, and clients for queries and compliance requirements.
Perform tax planning and advisory for individuals and corporations.
Maintain compliance with internal controls, policies, and best practices in accounting and taxation.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff.
Stay updated with changes in US accounting standards and tax laws. Requirements
Bachelor s/Master s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
3+ years of hands-on experience in US accounting and taxation.
Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IRS regulations, and multi-state taxation.
Experience with QuickBooks, NetSuite, or other US accounting/tax software.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple client accounts and meet strict deadlines. Preferred Qualifications
CPA / EA (Enrolled Agent) certification (preferred but not mandatory).
Prior experience in US-based outsourcing/KPO/BPO firms.
Knowledge of international taxation or transfer pricing (added advantage). What We Offer
