Reconcile major balance sheet accounts, in accordance with work scope, and prepare financial statements for client delivery.
Efficiently manage missing or incomplete information lists in conjunction with client deadline
Communicate with job manager to discuss unusual items or variances noted
Identify efficiencies to be gained and additional client opportunities
Utilize PSA scheduling tool, time budgets, and client deadlines to determine work order prioritization throughout the month
Self-manage schedule and allow time for unforeseen circumstances such as review issues, associate training, missing information, client delays, etc.
Utilize critical thinking and outward mindset to both deliver service and collaborate with associates
Leverage other associates and administrative staff for back-office functions
Demonstrate curiosity to understand the client's business operations and strategic goals. Prepare periodical financial statements for Wipfli' s clients, ensure quality assurance with core accounting operations performed by the team
Perform compilation procedures in accordance with firm and professional standards as directed by engagement leaders.
Perform on-boarding of clients and conversion activities as directed by an onboarding and conversion specialist.
Further develop technical competency with GAAP, various accounting software systems used to provide accounting services, Participate in core CPE programs.Communicate proactively with clients, other firm associates regarding open items, problems, or other important matters in a timely manner.
Experience in outsourced accounting services is highly advantageous.
Extensive experience in general ledger reconciliations, with a strong focus on fixed assets.
In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with the month-end closing process.
Experience in handling transitions is a plus.
To be able to review the work performed by analysts and provide timely feedback.
Assess the training needs of an analyst through the review process and report to manager.
Adhere to prescribed budgets and deadlines.
Prepare correspondence related to client engagements as appropriate.
Develop a familiarity with Wipfli service offerings with the intent of applying that knowledge towards identifying additional client opportunities.
Actively participate in community activities to develop positive relationships with community leaders and members.
Qualification, Skills, Experience and Competencies Required
B.com/MBA/M.com or any other equivalent degree
certification is preferred but not required at the time of interview
At least 4 years of job-related experience in the public accounting field with an emphasis on U.S. GAAP accounting.
Proficiency in Word, Excel, Adobe, Power Point and Outlook and software applications: depreciation, document management systems and one or more accounting packages such as Bill.com /QBO/ Intacct/MIP/Business Central
Should have a sound knowledge of software tools and systems
