Roles and Responsibilities
The Senior Foreign Accountant would be a key player in TAG's growth story leading the vision from the front with following roles:
Manage the complete accounting cycle for international clients, including bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, general ledger maintenance, and reconciliations in compliance with US GAAP and international standards.
Oversee the full accounting lifecycle for global clients, including bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, and general ledger management in accordance with international standards.
Lead the preparation and finalization of monthly and annual financial statements across entities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
Support financial strategy by providing analysis for budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking alongside the fractional CFO team.
Conduct variance analysis, manage inter-company reconciliations, and maintain audit-ready documentation.
Handle international operations involving multi-currency transactions, tax considerations, and regulatory compliance across US, UK, and other jurisdictions.
Collaborate closely with global stakeholders to communicate financial insights, resolve discrepancies, and align reporting with business objectives.
Drive process improvements within the finance function, including reporting structure, documentation standards, and closing timelines.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have:
Minimum 2 years of experience in foreign accounting with exposure to clients in the US, UK, or other international markets.
Strong understanding of US GAAP, IFRS, and international compliance requirements.
Demonstrated experience in automating invoice collection, bill payment, and reconciliation processes to increase efficiency.
Proven ability to manage multi-entity and multi-currency accounting structures and deliver consolidated reports.
Hands-on expertise in accounting platforms such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, Xero, Stripe, and Hubdoc.
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, and working knowledge of PowerPoint and Word for reporting and communication.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CA/CPA/ACCA (any level) preferred, with strong analytical and communication skills.
