- Senior Underwriter L&H India - Position reports to Chief UW L&H , India Branch. As a member of the Life & Health team based in Mumbai office of SR India Branch, your role will be to build and maintain client relationships as well as to provide underwriting related services to Swiss Re\'s Life & Health clients in India, in accordance with the agreed terms. You will be required to work as a member of a high-performance team and to demonstrate and develop adequate technical and interpersonal skills, so you can strongly contribute to achieving Swiss Re\'s strategic and commercial objectives. Main Tasks and Responsibilities Delivers underwriting services to clients Implements company\'s underwriting policy and principles and ensures risks assumed on a sound and profitable basis Participates in departmental or companywide activities and projects regarding underwriting and related fields Supports the Chief Underwriter in developing and driving relevant innovations and solutions to the market Develops and conducts underwriting training programs for clients Adopts a partnering approach when carrying out underwriting and audits with clients Supports the team on portfolio analysis as per defined frequency. Identify risks and ensure adherence to treaties Provides input to reinsurance tenders and product development in a cross-functional team environment Builds strong relationships with key clients To qualify for the above position, you need to possess the following qualities: Minimum 6 years relevant Life & Health insurance underwriting experience, preferably with reinsurance/ regional/international exposure University Graduation Degree. Medical / Life Science related qualification preferred. Strong analytical skills Good team player and self-starter able to interact with people at various levels Excellent English communication skills and presentation skills
