Description
The Senior Unified Communications Engineer\'s primary role will be providing architectural and infrastructure support to the telecommunications infrastructure team. Since this role is geared towards a technical individual, the candidate should have most/all of the required skills and experience in a wide range of technologies and not just Unified Communications. The engineer will be part of Unified Communications Engineering team that owns the design, development, delivery, and experience of Unified Communications System platforms. The position is responsible for the design, selection, implementation, integration, management, user experience and retirement of Collaboration and Communication technology. The position works closely with IT teams and business partners to deliver consistently excellent user and technology experiences for our staff members and community.

Responsibilities
Implementation and management of the overall design, solution, and strategy of BlackRock\'s Unified Communications environment.

  • Work with vendors, clients, carriers and technical staff on implementation, optimization, and security of the Unified Communications systems
  • Work with internal and external teams to migrate CUCM to the Cisco Webex Calling (Dedicated Instance) platform
  • Install and manage Cisco CUBE SBCs for SIP Trunking
Conduct maintenance and upgrades on all UC infrastructure, while building and maintaining detailed runbooks and support documentation for routine maintenance
  • Research, analyze, recommend, and implement new software, hardware, tools, systems and processes to provide a state-of-the-art collaboration experience
Present to clients, upper management, and peers as it pertains to the Unified Communications technology roadmap, architecture, engineering, and provisioning.
Build solutions and implementation plans utilizing the appropriate internal and external resources and ensuring full involvement of business partners and communication to all stakeholders.
Develop technical standards, define operational processes, and configuration best practices for UC infrastructure.
Monitor the latest market trends and industrial landscape to discover opportunities to improve customer experience and reduce operating cost
Manage UC system logging and provide performance metrics
Provide incident management and support to critical issues escalated to UC Engineering
Perform security review of UC Infrastructure and Applications
  • Adhere to the design, programming, and application standards as setup by the company. Including compliance with all firm and departmental policies and procedures.
Required Skills
8+ years of experience in designing, configuring, implementing, and supporting Cisco Unified Communications solutions
Advanced experience in designing, configuring and supporting Cisco Unified Communications infrastructure (CUCM, CUC, SME and IMP)
Advanced knowledge of Cisco Dial Plan design and troubleshooting
Knowledge of Cisco Webex and Webex Calling (Dedicated Instance) Platform including connectivity and trunking
Strong Knowledge of Cisco Voice Gateways, CUBE, and Protocols (SIP, H.323 and MGCP) * Knowledge of implementing Voice Security.
Solid analytical skills which result in sound decisions, solutions, and recommendations
Expertise in Technical documentation (System design documentations, HLD, LLD and Visio network diagrams
Strong troubleshooting skills accompanying creating thinking to resolve complex issues.
Must possess excellent customer service, follow up and organizational skills
Outstanding written and verbal communications skills complemented by proven expertise in relationship building.
Understanding of Change Management, ITIL standard methodologies and processes
Knowledge of Networking technologies (Switches, Routers, F5 load balancers, DNS, Firewalls, Proxy Servers, QoS)
Experience with manufacturer/vendor support (raising cases, escalating)
Knowledge of Python programming and SQL database queries
Knowledge of IPC Unigy Trading Platform / Unigy Soft Turret is a plus
Knowledge of Verint Voice Recording architecture, configuration, and user management is a plus
Knowledge of MS Teams administration is a plus
Pay Range:
$ 1600000.00 - $ 2500000.00
