Bidding & Revenue Generation (The Core Task) ?Daily Portal Monitoring: rigorous monitoring of client ERPs (SAP, Oracle) and third-party logistics platforms (like BlackBuck, Transin, or private client portals) for new load postings. ?Rate Analysis (Pre-Bid): Calculating the specific "Trip Cost" (Fuel + Toll + Driver Bata + Maintenance + Margin) before placing a bid to ensure you don't book a loss-making load. Coordianting with Traffic manager ?Reverse Auction Participation: Strategically bidding in live online reverse auctions to win the load at the highest possible rate. ?Route Profitability Check: Identifying which routes offer better return loads and prioritizing bidding for those destinations. ?2. Client Relationship & Sales ?Client Retention: Calling existing clients weekly to check for upcoming load requirements (don't wait for them to call you). ?New Business Acquisition: Identifying factories or distributors in your hub that use FTL and approaching them for vendor registration. ?Negotiation: Negotiating freight rates for "Spot Enquiries" (urgent loads) outside of the standard bidding contracts. ?3. Payment Recovery & Accounts (Crucial for Cash Flow) ?POD Enforcement: Ensuring drivers (own fleet or market) submit the Proof of Delivery (POD) within 24-48 hours of unloading. No POD = No Payment. ?Invoice Submission: Overseeing that bills are generated accurately and submitted to the client's accounts department immediately upon POD receipt. ?Aging Analysis: Reviewing the "Payment Aging Report" weekly and calling clients whose payments are overdue by even 1 day. ?Detention & Incidental Charges: claiming "Waiting Charges" (Halting/Detention) from clients if the truck was held up at loading/unloading points.
