to lead and execute the testing and support functions for our embedded electronic products. This role requires hands-on expertise in hardware testing, production validation, debugging, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will also support customer deployments, contribute to continuous improvement efforts, and mentor junior team members.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the planning, development, and execution of comprehensive hardware and embedded system test plans
Perform advanced diagnostics and root-cause analysis using tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, and protocol analyzers
Collaborate with design, production, and firmware teams to identify, escalate, and resolve issues at both board and system levels
Prepare and maintain detailed documentation including test plans, bug reports, test summaries, failure analysis, SOPs, and support guides
Provide technical support to production teams and field engineers during product assembly, validation, and deployment
Review and improve existing testing workflows and suggest design or process enhancements
Support internal QA processes and contribute to defining test automation strategies
Train and mentor junior testing staff and provide guidance on best practices
Assist in customer support for post-deployment issues, working closely with the support and engineering teams to ensure quick resolution
Stay updated with current electronics testing tools, embedded hardware trends, and industry best practices
Requirements:
Diploma/Degree in Electronics Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related field
3-6 years of hands-on experience in hardware/embedded product testing and support
Strong understanding of embedded system architectures and board-level diagnostics
Proficiency in using test instruments such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and power supplies
Experience with documentation for hardware validation, production testing, and support
Exposure to testing interfaces like UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, RS-485, etc.
Working knowledge of MS Office and other standard reporting tools
Excellent analytical, communication, and troubleshooting skills
Ability to coordinate between teams and handle client-facing support when required
Good to Have:
Experience with functional testing, in-circuit testing (ICT), or automated testing frameworks
Exposure to IoT devices, embedded Linux systems, or real-time operating systems (RTOS)
Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., Python or Bash) for testing automation
Familiarity with quality systems and compliance standards
Multilingual communication skills (English, Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil)
