JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for an experienced Senior Test Engineer - Trade Finance with strong domain knowledge in Trade Finance systems and hands-on experience with Finastra trade products. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and executing test strategies, ensuring high-quality delivery of trade finance applications, and working closely with business and technology teams. Key Responsibilities: o Understand business requirements and functional specifications for Trade Finance modules including Letters of Credit, Guarantees, Collections, and Open Account. o Create detailed test plans, test scenarios, and test cases based on business and technical requirements. o Perform functional, system, integration, regression, and UAT testing. o Validate end-to-end trade finance workflows such as issuance, amendment, settlement, and document presentation. o Execute test cases for Finastra trade products (e.g., TI Plus, Fusion Trade Innovation or Trade Innovation). o Participate in defect management, including logging, tracking, retesting, and closure using tools like JIRA/ALM. o Perform API testing using Postman/Swagger and validate backend data using SQL queries. o Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to clarify requirements and resolve issues. o Maintain traceability matrix and ensure proper test coverage. o Support UAT cycles and production validation (smoke/sanity checks). o Contribute to test process improvements and best practices. Required Skills & Qualifications: Must-Have: o 6-8 years of experience in software testing, preferably in banking or financial services. o Strong domain knowledge in Trade Finance: o Import/Export Letters of Credit (LC) o Standby LC (SBLC) o Bank Guarantees (BG) o Documentary Collections (DC) o Hands-on experience with Finastra trade products (Fusion Trade Innovation / TI+ / Trade Innovation). o Strong understanding of testing methodologies: Agile, Waterfall, V-Model. o Experience in test design techniques
