Overview

This position is for a Software Tester responsible to ensure product quality for a long-term software project that includes desktop, web and mobile solutions. The job location is Trivandrum, India. He/ she will be working along with the existing project team for technical and management aspects. Work involves requirement elicitation, Test case preparation, automation script development and maintenance, test execution and bug reporting. He/ she will be responsible for taking each assigned task to completion
ensuring the quality of deliverables. Should have self-initiatives, decision making and self-directing capabilities to work with minimal supervision and a "go-getter" attitude.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain

automated test scripts

using

Selenium (Python)

for web applications. Create, adapt, and extend automated test cases based on existing manual or automated tests. Perform

daily monitoring

,

failure analysis

, and

root cause investigation

of automated test runs. Collaborate with development and QA teams to

identify, reproduce, and report defects

. Maintain and enhance

test automation frameworks

and related

test infrastructure

. Continuously improve the

efficiency, reliability, and coverage

of automation tests. Manage and track

defects

and

test results

through test management tools. Support integration of automated tests into

CI/CD pipelines

and ensure smooth execution across environments.

Qualifications

3+ years

of hands-on experience in

test automation

of web applications (frontend and backend). Strong working experience with

Selenium (Python)

. Solid programming knowledge in

Python

(experience with TypeScript or JavaScript is a plus). Experience in

API test automation

(REST/SOAP, JSON/XML). Familiarity with

CI/CD tools

such as

GitLab

,

Jenkins

, or

Azure DevOps

. Working knowledge of

Git

,

Docker

, and

Kubernetes

. Experience with

test management and reporting tools

(e.g., Jira, Confluence, TestRail). Exposure to

performance testing tools

like

JMeter

,

k6

, or

Azure Load Testing

. Strong analytical and communication skills in English.

Nice to Have

ISTQB certification

in Test Automation (or equivalent). * Experience with

cloud-based testing

(e.g., Azure, AWS).
